It doesn't get much better than this.

I've known Karyn and Sarah for a little over five years now. We met on a joint church youth trip to Kansas City. Karyn was one of her church leaders, and Sarah was still in middle school. It's crazy to think about. But from the beginning, Karyn was one of those people that I just instantly connected with. You know the kind. We sat and talked for hours, and a beautiful friendship was born. We have never lived in the same city, but that has had little impact on the depth of relationship we've been able to create. Her friendship has been such an incredible blessing in my life. So when she reached out asking for me to do Sarah's senior photos this fall, there was no question in my mind! I planned on driving up to Iowa for the session, but Karyn and Sarah decided they wanted to make the trip down to Kansas City for some destination photos instead. And boy, did we make the most of it! It had been at least a couple years since I had seen their family, and it was so amazing to be able to reconnect and spend a weekend together catching up.

Sarah is an incredible young woman. She is fierce. She is independent. She is sassy and spunky. She doesn't take crap from anyone. And she is growing into an amazing woman. Being out with her was like hanging out with an old friend. And lucky for me, my friends think I'm goofy, weird, and funny (which makes for great smiles during photoshoots!). Capturing amazing photos of Sarah was easy. She's so beautiful, inside and out. It radiates from her. Her smile lit up each photo. It was such a blast and a blessing to be her photographer.
