25 years and counting...

Mike and Sue are a couple that I have gotten to know over the last year or two and it's been so incredible to build a relationship with them and with their whole family. Their family has been through a lot over the last year and a half, and watching them overcome those obstacles and simultaneously grow in their faith has been such an amazing thing to witness. So when Sue reached out to me about anniversary photos, I jumped on the opportunity. I knew it would be such a fun evening for an incredible couple.

We met at Rotary Park in Blue Springs and Mike and Sue brought two of their three kids along with them. They were a hoot! Sue has a beautiful smile, but when she has to smile on command, sometimes it can get cheesy. Her son gladly stepped in making jokes, doing dances, and all around being ridiculous and hilarious to get a laugh out of her. It was wonderful. One of the things I love about my job is seeing the relationships and interactions among family members played out, and capturing that. Anniversary sessions are especially fun because couples that have been together for a significant period of time have a bond that can only happen over years of growing together, overcoming obstacles, and choosing love daily.
