I am a photographer. And I love it.
If you are reading this, you probably already knew that. But here are 10 things you probably didn't know:
1) My passion is youth ministry.
I am actually employed as the Director of Youth Ministry at our church and middle school and high school students are my niche! I love it. I love building relationships and goofing off and watching them grow in their faith.
2) I minored in math in college.
I know art and math are not normally two strengths in the same person, but I love both. I actually tutor two high school students in math every week!
3) I joined the swim team in college... with 0 experience.
This was a fun one. I wanted/needed a new challenge and a different setting, and the swim team was perfect. I grew so much in that year in so many ways, and my love for triathlons grew, too!
4) I met my husband on ChristianMingle.
We were both at that age where you either meet someone online or in bars... and bars didn't cut it for either of us. (I'm cracking myself up here. Hopefully you got a chuckle out of that too!)
5) I really enjoy doing graphic design.
I am not a pro by any means, and my designs are usually pretty simple. But I love working in digital media and I'm learning more about it!
6) I love my dogs (sometimes more than people).
Ok. Maybe that's not true, but our dogs are pretty spoiled! They sleep with us, they get up on the couch, we say hi to them when we get home and bye to them when we leave. They are our fur babies!
7) I love taking reflection photos.
I have always loved reflections, and especially water reflections. Drawing them, looking in them, capturing them in some way. I think I am drawn to them because they offer a different perspective than what we see everyday... and something about that intrigues me.
8) I wish I could dance.
This is kind of embarrassing and hilarious to admit. I am a terrible dancer! I really wish I wasn't. But what can you do? I don't have that kind of coordination.
9) I love a good adventure.
My husband is a homebody. Me? I love to go on adventures... as long as I can come home afterwards. I love the life we have built together but I love the opportunity to go do something adventurous (like joining a swim team with no experience, or hiking some trails, or starting my own business)! Adventures are even better when you have someone to share them with! (Pictured above, my friends Geoff, Deb, and I on a hike in CO! Geoff is taking the photo. What a guy.)
10) I would love to take your photos!
I love capturing moments in time. If you'd like to book a session, click the contact tab at the top!
