She was so confident
as she put one foot in front of the other, determined to explore this new place. She was enthralled with everything she could get her hands on. Particularly sticks. Mom, aunties, and grandma all watched as she roamed while we shot a few photos without her. Every once in a while, someone would run out of frame to bring her closer again. I don't know much about Ryland's story, but seeing the love, adoration, and pride her family has for her told me all I needed to know. This is a family that loves each other deeply, that supports one another, that strengthens and encourages one another.
Janet reached out to me a few weeks ago wanting to schedule a family shoot for her and her three daughters, Melissa, Mallory, and Macae, as they would all be together for the holidays. Ryland was a sweet surprise addition to the shoot due to a last minute change of plans. I had never been to Pertle Springs, so I arrived extra early to take a look around, and was simply in awe of what I saw. Such incredible beauty. I am constantly reminded of how incredible our God is by how amazing his Creation is.
It didn't take long to warm up to these ladies. They are warm, inviting, and funny. Their joyous smiles are contagious. Janet, thank you so much for entrusting me with the noble task of capturing these photos. It was so incredible to work with you and your girls and to capture these memories for you.
