There’s a quiet confidence in the way Isabel carries herself—a reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful.
Isabel is one of the hardest working seniors I have had the pleasure of photographing. She is among the top of her class at William Chrisman High School here in the Kansas City area, a strong student-athlete, well on her way to becoming a CNA, and so excited for what is coming next.
Isabel is quiet and kind, and it was so fun watching her settle into her senior session and seeing her personality come to life in such a natural way. She didn’t need to be loud or over the top—there’s a steadiness to her that shows up so beautifully on camera.
One of my favorite parts of her session was when she changed into her flag football jersey. You could see a shift—not into a different version of herself, but into a space where her confidence felt more visible. It was still her, just a little more expressed. Those quickly became some of my favorite images from the entire session because of how she just beams.
Isabel isn’t someone who naturally seeks the spotlight, but throughout her session, you could see her growing more comfortable being seen and celebrated. Nothing about her changed—she simply stepped more fully into who she already is. With a personalized hair and makeup experience and a session built around her personality and passions, her confidence became more and more evident with each moment.
At her gallery reveal, Isabel reflected on how much she loved the images and how beautifully everything came together, which made this experience even more meaningful.
This Kansas City senior session was such an honor to capture. Isabel is stepping into what’s next with so much strength and quiet confidence, and I have no doubt she’s going to do incredible things.
