I love Jesus.
And I love photography. And I LOVE when the two of those things get to work together. Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot the Arise Women's Conference at Lifepointe Church in Sedalia. The weekend was incredible, and capturing it was such a pleasure and honor.
The weekend was one for the books. The speaker and organizer, Savannah, reached out to me well in advance about capturing this event. At the time, I had actually told her no because I had already committed to a triathlon the same weekend. Long story short, Savannah is awesome, I was able to do both the conference and the triathlon, and the weekend was both incredibly fulfilling and incredibly exhausting.
Savannah and I met at Super Summer this summer. I had taken our students to camp and she was filling in as a small group leader for the week. We immediately hit it off, so having her reach out about photos felt like such an incredible honor. Once I arrived at Lifepointe, I knew that was an understatement. Savannah's passion for God and for seeing people know and love Jesus is so evident in everything she does. Seeing how she connected with and loved the women at the conference was amazing and encouraged me in so many ways. And hearing these women talk about how blessed they were by Savannah, by her teachings, by this conference, by this church... God is at work at Lifepointe and I am honored I was able to witness a small part of that at the Arise conference.
Thank you, Savannah, for inviting me to be a part of this incredible weekend! You are a blessing and a light to so many, and I (along with so many others) am so grateful for you!
