Location matters...

While there are so many aspects that go into good photos, an easy way to take them to the next level is hitting the right location at the right time. I always love exploring new places, and have had the opportunity to take some photos in some amazing places across multiple states. However, one of my go-to favorite places here in Independence is right off Little Blue Trace trail. To the naked eye, this location doesn't seem all that special. But during golden hour (the hour before sunset) the lighting is incredible, the colors are beautiful, and it brings out so much in the portraits that I get to take there!

I do love urban photos, but I find myself drawn to photos with nature backdrops. The greens and blues and browns are something that, to me, can't be beat. It can be overcast or sunny and it still looks amazing. There's just something about seeing God's handiwork during the best lighting of the day framing beautiful families... it's incredible.
