Mallory and I have been best friends for 9 years...

Psychologists say that once you hit the 7 year mark for friendship, you will be friends for life. Mallory and I went to the same high school, we were maid of honor(s) in each other's weddings, and we still talk on a regular basis. Now it's been 9 years since we became best friends, and she's stuck with me!

Life has taken us in different geographical directions in recent years (as growing up often does) and we now live 5 hours and one state apart. I'm grateful it's not more than that, but the fact that we both work weekends makes regular visits impossible (Mallory and her husband, Colton, own their own wedding videography business. If you're in the market, I highly recommend them!!! They are Arbor Weddings. In addition, Colton works as the Worship Leader at his church, I have my ministry jobs and photography, and Joe works full-time). We all keep ourselves busy! Recently, though, Joe and I had the pleasure of visiting Mallory and Colton. This was the first time we have been able to visit them since they purchased their house, and the first time we had seen each other in a little over a year.

Do you have those friends that when you see them, it's like no time has passed? That's what Mallory and Colton are for me. It could be months or years, yet when we're together, it's like we were never apart. Inside jokes and memories abound as we catch up on what has been happening in all our lives. Friendship like that is truly a blessing. The best part is, it doesn't even matter what we do. It just matters that we are together.

While we were there, Mallory and Colton agreed to a photoshoot so I could practice a few things, one being finding photo opportunities in a place I've never been before. They live near Iowa City, so we traveled downtown and just explored. Anything we saw as a photo opportunity, we took. Mallory and Colton are incredible to work with, and the photos truly speak to the beauty of them as people and the beauty in their relationship. I'm so blessed by these two!
