Prom.

What a joyous occasion. I remember my senior prom. Moreso, the photos and events in the hours leading up to my senior prom. Fitting to think about this today as it's been two years today since we lost my dear grandpa (affectionally dubbed GBW by my husband and I). Well GBW was never one to do something halfway. He made memories, and he made them well. My senior year, we decided to rent a limo, but being high school students working minimum wage jobs, we couldn't afford a limo for hours on end and it seemed silly to waste paid time in our limo during dinner. So we arranged to borrow my grandpa's seven passenger van to get us to our restaurant and the limo picked us up after our dinner. While our group was taking the obligatory pre-dance photos, my grandpa arrived in his full sized van wearing a suit, cummerbund, and chauffeur's hat. What a guy. We all LOVED it. He chauffeured us to our dinner, and I imagine he loved every minute as much as we did. GBW was awesome like that.

While I can't speak for Olivia's senior prom experience, I can say our photo session prior to the dance was amazing. As I mentioned last week, working with Olivia is just a dream and having the opportunity to shoot these photos for her and Austin was so sweet. Just look at how cute and sweet they are!! Olivia looked like a princess in her beautiful gown, and Austin was such a gentleman!

We met at the Independence square, and the session was just beautiful. Austin and Olivia were so amazing to work with, and they were unafraid to follow my crazy prompts and ideas (like standing in the middle of the street or down a random alley). Shooting prom photos was a dream come true and I couldn't have chosen two better people to work with. They just radiated joy! Check out some of my favorites below!!
